Albanian Team

Malfor Nuri, General Manager Albania
Malfor Nuri is a mechanical engineer from the University of Tirana with 16 years' experience in the hydrocarbon industry. He has held several managerial positions starting with the Albania Ministry of Industry, Mineral Resources and Energy branch, liaising with international corporations and advising government ministers. Later he moved to the private oil and gas exploration business with OMV Aktiengesellschaft, Central Europe's leading oil and gas group, as Administration Manager and Acting General Manager. During his tenure with OMV, Malfor Nuri managed several large onshore and offshore 2D and 3D seismic acquisition programs in adjacent blocks to Petromanas' blocks. He also managed the drilling of three deep wells in Albania where he managed permitting, logistics, licensing and construction. Mr. Nuri oversees the Albania office operations, including management and observance of contractual compliance and operating the exploration activities.
Vilson Bare, Geophysicist
Professor Vilson Bare is a geophysicist and seismic exploration expert. He received international acclaim in the 80s for his research in the area of "diffraction in seismic section and its uses in geological interpretation." Mr. Bare had several assignments for national and international petroleum corporations including Coparex and Shell, where he focused on studies on Albanian Blocks 2, 3 and 5. Mr. Bare has held senior positions within the Albanian National Petroleum Agency (NPA later AKBN, National Agency of Natural Resources) including the Head of Directory for Auditing and Supervising of Petroleum Activities of National and International Companies. He supervised seismic work and audited all contracts and activities between the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Energy and International Petroleum Companies.
Arben Arapi, Petroleum Geologist
Arben Arapi is a petroleum geologist engineer. He spent most of his career with the National Petroleum Agency (NPA, later AKBN, National Agency of Natural Resources) in Albania in managerial and technical positions. Mr. Arapi worked closely with Occidental, OMV, INA Naftaplin and Coparex in developing contracts signed with the Albanian Government for oil and gas exploration and development in the region. Technically, Mr. Arapi has supervised and implemented over 30 projects during the drilling and testing phases of oil and gas exploration and evaluation wells within the Peri Adriatic Depression and Ionian Zone in Albania.
Agim Mesonjesi, Petroleum Geologist
Agim Mesonjesi has over 25 years of oil and gas industry experience in all phases of exploration. His experience includes seven years as a geologist and geological advisor for Occidental Petroleum Albania. Mr. Mesonjesi performed geological work including a number of geological and geophysical studies for the Albanian Institute for Oil and Gas. Mr. Mesonjesi is a general geologist and is an expert in prospect generation utilizing advanced field mapping techniques.
